Known for his exuberant style and personality, Dolo Tonight (real name Jonah Rindner) masterfully blends indie rock and pop sensibilities for a refreshing, sun-soaked sound. He keeps it lighthearted on his new single “Stranger Things”, conjuring the breezy, nostalgic, and ultimately awkward feelings of his first young love — “It’s weird being in a relationship when you’re younger,” he admits, “and I just wanted to capture that in a song.” Dolo worked with producer Ryan Spraker of the band Fast Friends to bring his vision to life.
Ryan also had some funny free-thinking things to say on the song – which further reflects why he and Dolo make a great combination “The economic impact of this will be huge. Dolo Tonight is not just the biggest artist in Los Angeles, he’s a market-mover. Don’t be surprised if Spotify crashes and you can’t listen to Type O Negative for a few days”. Dolo’s personality is also on full display between the track and its visuals. He has an infectious brand of wholly unique anti-pop with self-conscious humor and fresh punchiness that defines his work.
Constantly engaging his enthusiastic fanbase online and IRL, Dolo Tonight tells the stories of those he feels closest to – those a little left of center: the wanderers, the dreamers, the outcasts – and in doing so has built his own universally accepting musical world that continues to reveal itself with each release.
