Kira Rizavi Releases Video for “Tiny Dancers (Can’t Wait For Christmas)”
One of the music industry’s best Christmas presents this year came from nineteen-year-old singer/songwriter Kira Rizavi, in the form of her new holiday classic Tiny Dancers (Can’t Wait For Christmas). The track, which paired the Kira’s soaring vocal acrobatics with the stringwork of Grammy-nominated cellist Dave Eggar and violinist Katie Kresek (a frequent collaborator with Norah Jones, James Taylor and Paul Simon), made it clear that Kira Rizavi is one to watch.
“I wanted to create a Christmas song that emphasized the love I feel for my family and friends,” Kira Rizavi says. “During this pandemic, I have become increasingly aware of how much I value the people I surround myself with – people that I trust and love deeply.”
Kira Rizavi recorded Tiny Dancers (Can’t Wait For Christmas) at Threshold Studio with producer Heather Holley, perhaps best known for launching Christina Aguilera’s career.
The video, which captures all the unexpected magic of a socially distanced Christmas in Manhattan, was shot by New York City filmmaker Paula Morandarte.
