Rising R and B newcomer JayDon links up with his label boss Usher on the newly released Lullaby (Mega Remix), joined by emerging artist Paradise.
The updated version adds a fresh verse from Usher while JayDon and Paradise deliver new vocals that deepen the song’s late night mood. The track builds on the original’s bedroom-ready atmosphere, leaning further into vulnerability and slow-burning intimacy. Usher opens the remix with a confessional tone over the HARV-produced beat.
“Now when I say lullaby / It’s really for a metaphor, not literal / ’Cause I don’t doze, cat nap or otherwise sleep on ya,” he sings.
JayDon, who turned 18 earlier this year, takes over the second verse, crooning, “Every breath you take / That’s the pace of my favorite lullaby.” Paradise closes out the track in verse three, adding a silky edge with lines like, “I’ll make it sing / Put you down like medicine / Tuck you in / Tell me when you wanna go again / We can get right back at it.”
The new remix arrives shortly after JayDon released Lullaby (Remix) featuring Jay Park and LOUIS of LNGSHOT on Nov. 21. In October, the singer dropped his debut EP Me My Songs & I via Zoo, mega and gamma.
The 10-track project includes the original version of Lullaby, also produced by HARV and written by Felisha King-Harvey of Cherish fame. The EP also features I’ll Be Good, which samples Usher’s 2001 hit How Do I Say.
In March, mega announced JayDon had joined its roster. Label co-founder L A Reid praised the young artist at the time, calling him “a generational rarity and an entertainment phenomenon,” adding that the team was excited to support his career as he entered a new chapter with the company.
Usher’s appearance on Lullaby (Mega Remix) follows his recent feature on Chris Brown’s It Depends (The Remix), released Oct. 17. Brown also publicly supported JayDon after the singer’s performance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, commenting on Instagram, “BRUH NEXT UP! KEEP OUR ART FORM FROM BEING OBSOLETE! Nothing but praise and respect on this side.”
