Sombr Steps Into the Wild West With New ‘Homewrecker’ Video

Sombr is back with his first new single of 2026, Homewrecker, arriving alongside a cinematic official video that brings the pop artist’s storytelling and persona into sharp focus. The release follows a breakout 2025 that included his critically acclaimed debut album I Barely Know Her, multiple Billboard Hot 100 entries and a Best New Artist Grammy nomination.

Homewrecker was written and co-produced by Sombr (born Shane Boose) and marks his first music of the year. The upbeat pop track finds him addressing a complicated romantic situation with cheeky honesty, singing, “I don’t wanna talk down on your lover, I don’t wanna be a homewrecker, I just know I can be better.”

The accompanying official video leans into a Western theme, blending narrative and performance. Directed by Gus Black, the clip positions Sombr and model and content creator Quenlin Blackwell as actors in a fictional Western film, with actor Milo Manheim playing a charismatic and unpredictable director. On set, sparks fly between Sombr and Blackwell’s characters, while tension with Manheim’s character builds toward a classic showdown.

Visually, the video plays like a playful homage to classic Western tropes with a modern pop twist, underscoring the song’s mix of romantic tension and self-aware lyricism. Fans on social platforms have responded enthusiastically, with many praising Sombr’s knack for storytelling and catchiness, and calling the track a standout addition to his growing discography.

The new release comes on the heels of Sombr’s Grammys performance of “12 to 12,” a highlight from I Barely Know Her. Although he did not win Best New Artist, the performance and nomination helped solidify his status as one of the most talked-about rising artists in music.

Homewrecker continues Sombr’s momentum as he blends vibrant pop production with narrative visuals, and fans are already speculating about what’s next. With three Hot 100 entries from his debut album and several awards shows appearances under his belt, the artist’s early 2026 rollout signals a bold new chapter.
